Summary
In the past years, the Amazon has become the new El Dorado. Thousands of illegal aliens have invaded the forest hoping to strike it rich by collecting gold. To gather the precious metal, they use mercury, thus polluting the rivers and endangering the fauna and local populations. In this film, we follow a major military operation that will lead to the dismantlement of the largest illegal gold mining site of the Amazon. For six months we followed this special brigade, a new kind of "cops", whose mission is to impose the law in the jungle. No other film crew has ever been authorized to follow this kind of operation in French Guyana
