Summary
December 21st 1988 , Scotland , a Boeing 747 Pan Am Flight 103 has exploded while cruising at 31000 feet. The wreckage is thrown across 50 square miles, but the bulk of the huge airliner comes down over the village of Lockerbie in the Scottish borders. There are no survivors, 243 passengers and the crew of 16 are all dead. But the tragedy doesn't end there, 11 people on the ground also died and 21 houses are completely destroyed. As air crash investigators rush to the scene early the following day, it soon becomes apparent that this was no accident. The CIA reports that a numbers of international terrorist organizations are already claiming responsibility for bringing the airliner down. As nearly two/thirds of the people on board were Americans returning home for Christmas, the outrage seems aimed squarely at the US . Despite claims made by various terrorists groups around the world, attention soon focuses on Libya a rogue state in north Africa head by Colonel Muammar Gaddafi
