Summary
This film looks at families struggling with pre-schoolers who have serious behavior problems. Tantrums, rages, persistent disobedience, whining, hyperactivity -- these are the traits that drive both parents and teachers to distraction. Many children with early anti -social behavior grow up to be persistent offenders in later life. Once they get into the criminal justice system, it is often too late to rehabilitate them. The video demonstrates how early interventions at a special needs pre-school can help parents learn positive reinforcement tactics to break the cycle of oppositional behavior. Parents learn the techniques to control their children and teach them to control themselves. We watch the unflappable teachers interact with these difficult children, putting boundaries on their disruptive behavior. While filmed in Great Britain, the emotions of the parents, behaviors of the children, supports offered by professionals, and behavior modification tactics are universal
